I believe more research is needed. The reason is my wife had two shots, then got Delta, then the third shot (her work requires these shots). And now our house is experiencing a case of one of the Omicron variants. She’s not sick and continues to test negative. Some information I’ve seen says she should have super-immunity due to how she got things. But because of my own complications, I had received my 4th shot months prior to this infection and thankfully my symptoms haven’t landed me in the hospital. My oldest, who only had three shots, has been sicker than me. Even my youngest, whose genetically immunocompromised and had her 4th shot even earlier than me, has done well and is recovering faster than my eldest. I’m not saying the 4th shot is what’s at work here, but I think with COVID and the variants we will need ongoing research for answers. Answers which will keep changing because of the ever changing nature of the virus.
