While for some autistics this is true. There are others, like Jonathan Mitchell, that have expressed a desire to be “cured.” I become concerned when there’s an attempt to build a universal axiom without considering the feelings of the entire community. The NTs have already showed that the loudest voices win, so why must this be the same for autism? What’s the difference between autism and being “normal” if groups can shun and dismiss countering desires?
